LEARNING MEDIA SELECTION PRIORITY BASED ON LEARNING STYLE PREFERENCE

Learning takes place through a number of form and media. The chart below describes for each learning style profile, the type of learning media that would best suit their natural preferences. The first group of media listed under each style indicates where someone could start should they wish to stay within their comfort zone. Keep in mind that learning experience should not be limited to a single learning style and that your development approach should include learning from multiple media. An assimilator's style is quite compatible with the acquisition of basic knowledge, nevertheless the development of application skills using the acquired knowledge would require a more experiential approach such as the accomodator style.
 
  To respect your own learning style consider tapping into the first group of learning media. Your next learning experiences should subsequently include media from the other groups.

All of the resources in this Online Catalogue were chosen to help you build the tasks, activities, actions, and/or steps that you, as a pharmaceutical sales representative, need to complete for each of the seven competency blocks.

The book and audio resources were chosen primarily using the top 10 lists from Books for Business, Amazon, Chapters/Indigo, Barnes and Noble, and the New York Times Bestsellers. The remaining resources ( websites, videos & CD-ROMs ) were chosen to supplement the books and audiotapes as well as to provide additional methods of learning to help you build the competency that you want to work on.

Once you have selected the resource you’re interested in, there are a number of different ways in which it may be accessed. For ease of locating the resources, the ISBN numbers and/or websites have been included, where appropriate.
